I keep making the wrong decisions about where to go.
I tried to head for sunny Antiva once, but they caught me in a week that time. I suppose the problem was at that time I never had a solid plan as much as: get as far away from the Circle as possible.
I stayed in Denerim a while— a city, and then Amarithine. The jewel of the coast, so they say, lyingly. I was trying to buy passage to the Free Marches. When I finally left there I joined the refugees going to Kirkwall. I haven’t left there much since I arrived.
Kirkwall is one of the worst places in the world. It's crowded, it's expensive, the sewage is barely contained, it has one of the most oppressive and worst Circles in all of Thedas that is housed in a former slave trading prison, and it's almost always on fire.
[ we won't even getting into the fact it's super cursed. ]
An old friend of mine was sent to the Circle there. I thought I would try and follow. See if I could free him.

Is it nice there? Kirkwall, I mean, if that's where you stayed.

[a pause]
Did you succeed in that?

[ he goes a bit distant for a second, but then comes back to attention. ]
I ended up staying for Hawke, mostly. And to see what I could for the rest of the mages in the Gallows.
